Fall...Finally

It is only 68 degrees today and I am thrilled. Fall is finally here. The beautiful vineyards have started to change colors and I can finally justify putting Ira in one of his highly anticipated sweaters.

No, we don't live in the jungles of Peru.  It just looks like it.

Seriously, how cute are these two?

Our sweet baby...

He is scrumptious.  Love him so much.

I'm obsessed with Ira in this outfit.  Thank you Aunt Lucy.

Thanks to my parents Ira and I went down to San Diego for a couple of days.  It was such a nice break and although we didn't take one picture we did get this little gem drawn of Ira.  I think it is hilarious.

Swimming With Daddy

Unfortunately Ira seems to have inherited Colin and my lack of swimming skills.  It is obvious to local Napans we are from Utah because we do not know how to backstroke or breathe correctly on a freestyle crawl.  Pools were always summer hangout spots, a great place to catch up with friends, sip diet coke, and work on that oh so important tan.  Like us, Ira would much rather stay on the sidelines sipping a bottle full of milk.

Chubby Babies Like Food

Ira is 17 lbs of chubbyness perfection. I need to take a picture of his legs and post it. They have no less than 3 rolls on each thigh. I'm obsessed. Our doctor recommended we start rice cereal. Although weirded out at first by the texture, at the end he was grabbing the spoon because we couldn't feed him fast enough.

Baby Love

$485

$485. That is how much a rolling, right-turn, red light ticket costs in the great state of California. Apparently they are trying to make up for their failing economy and lack of state money by over-enforcing, and making citizens over-pay for their traffic citations. When I got the ticket in the mail, I marched right into the Napa Traffic Court, hoping to become some sort of revolutionary figure, and gave the poor 16 year old secretary a piece of my mind. I told her I was a new mom who no longer was employed and how ridiculous it was for her to think that in these economic times someone in my situation could pay this sort of fine. She told me the best she could do was give me a 2 week extension to get my money together. Thank you.

Happy b-day blogger

Dear Kathy-
Happy 24th doll!
I want you to know that I love you so much. I appreciate who you are, your personality, patience & your love. You are a great example to Ira & I & everyone around you.
You do so much everyday that I sometimes don’t even see. I want to say thank you for all that you do for our family.
Thank you for your calmness & for your sincerity. I have always felt so comfortable around you & can talk to you about whatever is going on.
I’m proud of you for all that you have accomplished. I’m proud of you as a mom. Ira could not be in better hands & I could not have a better companion.

I love you.

Colin
